Programs
Our programs support Black women, women of color, and their caregivers across every step of the breast cancer journey — from awareness to recovery and beyond.
We believe in sisterhood, faith, and action. Whether you’re just starting to learn or you’re walking through treatment or healing — you don’t have to walk alone.
Programs Designed for You
Standing Together, Every Step of the Journey
Whether you’re learning how to protect your health, newly diagnosed, in treatment, or celebrating survivorship — you belong here. Cierra Sisters creates safe, culturally grounded spaces where Black women and families can learn, heal, and thrive together.
Our programs meet you where you are, because no sister should walk this journey alone.

Education & Advocacy
We bring health education directly to our community.
Through wellness festivals, local events, and culturally rooted outreach, we raise awareness about breast cancer in the spaces where our people live, gather, and thrive.
Whether we’re hosting our own events or showing up in partnership, our goal is simple: to make life-saving information accessible, relatable, and affirming for every woman.
Access to Care
We walk alongside our sisters as they navigate the healthcare system.
Whether it’s finding a trusted provider, understanding a diagnosis, or simply needing someone to listen — we connect women and their caregivers to the right people and resources.
While we don’t currently offer direct financial assistance, we remain committed to helping you access what you need through community, compassion, and connection.

Advocacy & Research
From the beginning, advocacy has been at the heart of our mission.
Founder Bridgette Hempstead started Cierra Sisters after being diagnosed because she knew she had a calling to advocate for black women, and women of color — sparking what would become a movement of mutual support and action.
Through our Community Empowerment Partners (CEP) Program and ongoing collaborations, we continue to challenge disparities in healthcare and amplify Black women’s voices in research and reform.
