A Legacy in Bloom: 30 Years Rooted in Love and Community, Guided by Us is an intimate evening honoring the life, vision, and enduring legacy of Bridgette Hempstead while celebrating the 30th anniversary of Cierra Sisters.

More than a milestone celebration, this special gathering brings together community, partners, supporters, and friends to honor what has been built, recognize 30 years of compassion, advocacy, education, and care, and invest in the future of a legacy that continues to serve Black women and families with love and purpose.
 

To celebrate this 30th anniversary we have partnered with the Gynecologic Research and Cancer Equity (GRACE) Center at the University of Washington. We, at Cierra Sisters focus on cancer above the belt while the GRACE Center focuses below. This gathering is informed by and features the GRACE Center's GUIDElineS for endometrial cancer detection: BiopsY vs. UltraSound (GUIDES By Us) toolkit to provide community inspired and research based information about endometrial cancer and disparities facing Black women - because we know, education and early detection saves lives.
